Guilty Pleasures

I could spend hours reading confessions.

I love to sleep. I love to dream. Dreaming is fun.

I love LOST. That's all I can say.

hi, my name is Brooke and I am Ebay addict. Buying, selling, all of it. I love Ebay.

I secretly love Zombie movies. They give me nightmares most of the time, but I love them still. I am weird.

I love Gymboree clothes. I never pay thier ridiculous prices though. I get my Gymboree on Ebay and Gymboree Yahoo groups and through their sales, red balloon sale baby. 3.99. Can't beat that. Once I bought a bunch of stuff for 3.99 and sold it all on Ebay and made a small fortune.

Working mom vent

This post will be a pretty negative griping vent. If you're not in the mood to read gripes, you'll want to click that x in the top right hand corner.

I am a working mom. It's not my ideal situation, but I make the best of it. I try extremely hard to be involved with Madison's school activities and make sure she goes to all the activities outside school hours. For those, I usually have to make arrangements to switch my hours around at work. No biggie. Today, however, pissed me off. I get off work at 5:30 and then rush to get my kids picked up by about 6:15 get them home, fed, washed, read to and any homework done by 8:00. I do this all on my own. Well today as I was leaving work, I noticed some text messages from my sister (she watches my kids on Mondays) saying that Madison brought home a flyer about a Movie Night at the school and it started at 6:00 and she was SOOOO excited and that I might want to try to get off early. Well needless to say I felt really bad that I hadn't checked my phone. I called and talked to Madison and told her we wouldn't be able to make Movie Night, and she was SO UPSET. So I hurried to pick them up and we arrived at the school at 6:30, of course there were no spots left for us to sit. So we sat at the back of the gym, couldnt see or hear. Madison got a drink and another kid knocked it over and she was upset. I felt bad that I had to work, that they didn't notify me sooner, and that her high hopes of Movie Night were crushed. Maybe I'm being a little too sensitive to the issue but it really irritated me that whoever was in charge didn't stop to think about people who work outside of the home, and who might not even get the silly flyer until movie night was over! So to all you women in the PTA, I beg you to please consider us working moms and give us some notice!!!!! Rant over.

My Valentine

We don't usually do anything for Valentine's day, which is no big deal to me because I personally think Valentine's Day is lame. When I got home from work Nate told me he wanted to go out, which is very unusual for him since he's a homebody and somewhat of a cheapskate.LOL. So we convinced my lovely mother to watch our girls and we went to The Athenian restaurant on 25th Street in Ogden, and then headed over to the new Megaplex to see " Cloverfield". How romantic, right? Well I had a ton of fun with my love, and we were able to talk and laugh and just have a nice time. Thanks Mama for watching my girls.

The movie Cloverfield was ok, it was scary to me but the camera shooting style made us both sick. Too bad cause I think it would have been a lot better if the camera wasn't doing what it was.

The Athenian was good as usual ( our favorite place to eat) but they were SO busy it took forever to get our food. I remembered why we never go out on Valentine's Day.

turn off

Ok when your husband comes up to you holding the very pregnant cat and says, while holding the cats rear end in your face " check to see if she's leaking anything" That's a turn off. NO I'd rather not check my cat's ass to see if she's leaking anything. Gross. So I told him to stick a finger up there and see if she's dilated! HAHA.

Birth Order

since I lead such an interesting life, I have nothing to post but silly tests.

Take this test!

People who stand out as youngest children due to their social skills are likely to be social and friendly with their family, friends and even strangers. It is probable that they enjoy being the center of attention and feel elated when everybody focuses their attention on them. Chances are, they like to please others and it is important for them to have close emotional connections with others. People tend to think of them as a loving, caring people.

Take this test!

You're brown, a credible, stable color that's reminiscent of fine wood, rich leather, and wistful melancholy. Most likely, you're a logical, practical person ruled more by your head than your heart. With your inquisitive mind and insatiable curiosity, you're probably a great problem solver. And you always gather all of the facts before coming to a timely, informed decision. Easily intrigued, you're constantly finding new ways to challenge your mind, whether it's by reading the newspaper, playing a trivia game, or composing a piece of music. Brown is an impartial, neutral color, which means you tend to see the difference between fact and opinion easily and are open to many points of view. Trustworthy and steady, you really are a brown at heart.

Kittens anyone?

I suspect our lovely Satine is expecting. Would anyone be interested in a kitten? *Otherwise they'll get thrown on the traintracks tied in a pillowcase.

* I really would never ever harm one of God's creatures in such a manner.
